It's the time of year where we're beginning to feel the seasons change once again: the glaring heat of summer is mellowing into pleasantly muted autumn warmth. The temperatures are cooling off more quickly in the evenings; new constellations are sliding into view in the dusky nighttime sky; and we wake up to see alder and maple trees with the first blush of autumn color on their leaves, emerging from the damp morning fog.
When we get caught up in our busy daily lives, it is easy to overlook nature's heralding of the new season. If you're like me and are guilty of marking the change in seasons by the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte rather than by the change in the beautiful scenery around us... then this Nature Nerd Wednesday photo is for you. Soak it in!
